Privacy Policy

Overview

Relationsight ("we", "us", "our") is a relationship self-reflection app. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, first name, and a password. You may optionally provide additional profile details such as date of birth, relationship duration, and personality traits.

Content you create

The app stores data you choose to enter, including:

• Journal entries and daily check-ins
• Behavioural counters and commitments
• Partner profile information
• Community discussion responses and replies
• Onboarding questionnaire responses

Conversation analysis

If you choose to import a WhatsApp chat export, the conversation text is sent to a third-party AI provider for analysis. The conversation content is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers. Only the resulting insight summary is saved to your account.

Technical data

We collect standard technical data necessary to operate the service, including authentication tokens and device identifiers for push notifications.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and personalise the Relationsight app experience
• Adapt content to your relationship mode (improve or decide)
• Generate conversation insights when you request them
• Display community responses to other users (first name only)
• Send push notifications if you opt in

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

Relationsight uses the following third-party services:

• Clerk for authentication (stores email and login credentials)
• Supabase for database hosting (stores your app data)
• AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) for conversation analysis (processes chat text in real time, does not store it)

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy. We select providers that offer strong data protection commitments.

Data visibility

Your journal entries, check-ins, counters, commitments, partner profile, and personal details are private and visible only to you.

Community responses and replies are visible to other Relationsight users. These display your first name only. You can choose not to participate in the community feature.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (profile, journal entries, check-ins, counters, commitments, community responses, and partner profile) is permanently deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data upon request

Children's privacy

Relationsight is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
